SITUATION

The Challenge

Phoenix Art Museum (PAM) is a premiere art and culture destination with exclusive collections from around the world, hosting nearly 300k visitors on-site each year. Their website was in need of a complete overhaul to provide their guests and members with an equally modern and excellent user experience. Kitchen Sink was challenged as PAM’s partner to understand how their new site fit into the overall visitor journey, along with a number of supporting digital tools and assets to facilitate the purchase funnel. As the central communication & commerce platform for PAM, nothing short of perfection would do.

PROCESS

Strategy & Approach

Starting with an exhaustive list of requirements from our client, coupled with our own discovery and deep dive into their user journeys, we developed a thorough UX/UI and wireframe study. Key design elements such as full Spanish conversion as well as interactive maps and a robust backend system were considered mandatory ingredients. This resulted in a fresh experience for staff and members, as well as new visitors.

RESULTS

Final Experience

The new site is 100% responsive and empowers PAM’s diverse audiences by offering various ways for them to engage with and share the site. The content management system controls the entire site allowing our client to update everything from new exhibits to entirely new sections for members.

The Phoenix Art Museum website is currently an Awwwards nominee.
